FATHERS DAY SPECIAL MARKET IN SHAFTESBURY
The regular Shaftesbury Cobbles Market which runs in the High Street on the 3rd Sunday of each month is having a Fathers Day Special on Sunday 17th June.
The High Street gets shut to traffic for the day and creates a great family day out right next to the famous Gold Hill. There will also be a Craft Fair taking place in the Town hall on the same day.
Event Operator Steve Dauwalder from Salisbury based “The Anonymous Travelling Market” said that “we have numerous extra stalls this month selling fresh produce, crafts, outdoor goods, household goods, vintage ephemera, street food & much more some locally and regional produced, which will be supported with music and street entertainers”
The event will feature most of the regular stallholders including Clayford Farm Sausages from Wimborne, The Unusual Pork Pie Company from Shepton Mallet, The Glastonbury Cheese Company, Unique Bags form Sallys Little Beach Hut, Peake Perennials from Child Okeford & Street Food from John The Greek, plus many more.
Steve said “we like to support the local businesses, shops restaurants and pubs, many of which will be open on the day. We hope that both locals and visitors will bring Dad & Granddad along to the Market, soak up a bit of the Fathers Day atmosphere and get lunch either on the market or at one of the great local hostelries”
