In May 2024, the number of town councillors will be increasing from 12 to 15 to serve the needs of our growing community.
If you are passionate about Shaftesbury and are keen to make a difference to people’s lives, then please consider applying to become a town councillor. Even if you’ve never really considered it before or have thought about it fleetingly, we want to hear from you!
For those who would like to find out more, we are holding another New Councillor event on Tuesday 30th January where you will have the opportunity to meet other councillors and staff, find out about the role and what would be expected of you.
