The Town Council currently employs nine permanent staff who are all based in Shaftesbury. The staff are divided into three departments – office, caretaking, and pool management. The office staff are based in the Town Hall, in Shaftesbury, and consist of a full-time Town Clerk, one full time and four part time members of staff. The caretaking team work in and around the whole of Shaftesbury.
