Councillor Conor Smith

I’m Conor Smith, and I serve as one of the councillors for the Shaftesbury East Ward on Shaftesbury Town Council. Elected in 2024, I’m committed to tackling local issues and representing the needs and interests of our community. My goal is to ensure that every resident’s voice is heard and that we’re making decisions that improve life here in Shaftesbury.

Alongside my work at the Council, I’m also a musician and busker. I perform regularly on the streets and across the southwest of England, with my blue guitar being a recognisable part of my act. My music has been featured on BBC Introducing, and busking is a big part of my life. It’s a way for me to connect with the people of Shaftesbury, bringing music to the streets and creating a vibrant atmosphere in the town.

I’m also actively involved in local events like the Shaftesbury Carnival, always looking for ways to give back to the community that’s supported me. Between my work as a councillor and my passion for music, I’m dedicated to helping Shaftesbury grow and thrive.
