Councillor Greg Williams
I first came to Shaftesbury on foot, walking the Hardy Way. I fell in love with the town and the wider Blackmore Vale. I moved here three years later. Now as a councillor I’m committed to helping make the town the best it can be. I live here with my wife and two children who attend local school and nursery.
Professionally, I work as head of external affairs and procurement in a national energy company. During the week I spend time in London and at industrial locations around the country. Previously I have worked in manufacturing and energy company roles across the UK and Middle East.
I have masters degrees in Procurement (MCIPS) and Medieval Studies. I’m still very interested in the Anglo Saxon period of history and my speciality is numismatics. I’m also an Anglo-Indian and am keen to connect with less well represented ethnic groups in the town.
