Councillor Lester Dibben
Born in Shaftesbury 1955 Employed at Westlands Helicopters as an aircraft engineer turned to Decorating in the local community served as a Town Councillor for twenty years while working in the local area. I served on district bodies including The South west regional group, the Cross border working group with Sumerset, Wiltshire and Dorset councils, MP’s and MEP, the executive of the DAPTC, Shaftesbury & District Task Force, Swans Trust, Led the work with the Princes Foundation, and the Shaftesbury College group. I now Chair the Friends Charity looking after our wonderful Regimental War Memorials with support from The Rifles Regiment. I stand for a fully open and honest council acting with and for its community. I would love to see the return of Shaftesbury College a great loss to the town and surrounding area.
