We are delighted to announce that from Monday 29th May, we will be offering bespoke Aqua Fit sessions for patients who may benefit from gentle, water-based activity at our Shaftesbury Lido.

This is a collaborative project with the Blackmore Vale Surgery, Dorset Council’s Active4Health team and Active Dorset, and as such, sessions are only accessible via GP referral. 

Town Clerk, Brie Logan commented: “We are proud to be working with our Dorset colleagues on this fantastic project and are very grateful to Dorset Council (Community and Culture Fund) and Sport England for approving our Together Funding grant, without which, this would not be possible.

“We are very fortunate in Shaftesbury to have already established a popular and varied programme of free, land-based exercises through Shaftesbury Wellness and our delivery partner, The Yoga Within. These new, closed sessions will further enhance that offer and ensure that we are widening access to allow more people to reap the benefits of this gentler form of exercise.”
