Construction works begin on Monday 14 September
Hammond Building Contractors have started the construction of the new Mampitts Community Hub at Mampitts Green in Shaftesbury.
The new community hub will provide a welcoming space for local activities, events, services and community engagement, creating a valuable new facility for residents in Shaftesbury.
Construction activities on site
Construction activities will take place Monday to Friday, between 7:30am and 5:00pm.
To help minimise disturbance to nearby residents, significant noise-generating activities, including piling and similar works, will be kept to a minimum before 9:00am.
General construction activities will commence from 8:00am.
What residents can expect
During the construction period, residents may notice:
- Construction vehicle movements in the area
- Contractors and site personnel working on site
- Temporary construction-related noise and activity
- Deliveries and site operations during approved working hours
Every effort will be made to minimise disruption and maintain a safe environment for residents and visitors throughout the project.
The site perimeter is now fully fenced for safety and security purposes. Residents are asked to report any suspicious or unauthorised activity outside of working hours directly to the Police.
