Based on the feedback we received from the community following the initial consultation on Mampitts Green in 2021, we have now developed draft plans that we are excited to share with our residents.
We are proud to be working with ASA Landscapes who did a fantastic job of the St James’ Park play area and who have spent significant time at the Mampitts site to understand the land and how it is used. We are also delighted to be working with PWCR architects who have designed the concept scheme for the Mampitts hub, also based on feedback from the consultation.
Mampitts Green is an integral part of Shaftesbury and its natural environment is much valued by our residents. Therefore, we are inviting residents to join us for an informal pop-up consultation event to give everyone the opportunity to view our proposed scheme and most importantly, provide feedback on it.
Members of the Town Council, along with the architect will be at Mampitts Green (Mampitts Road, Shaftesbury, SP7 8FR) on:
Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd September between 11am – 2pm.
Please share with friends and family, as this event is open to anyone who lives in Shaftesbury. We are keen to get as much feedback as possible as this will help inform the project going forward and will ensure that the end result is a community facility that everyone can use, enjoy and be proud of.
We are looking forward to being able to progress these plans, which will include enhancing the existing landscape while keeping a key focus on biodiversity.
