Mayor of Shaftesbury hosts Charity Quiz Night to Support Mental Health Charity
Shaftesbury Town Council announces the Mayor’s Charity Quiz Night, an exciting evening of trivia, food, and fun with a purpose. The event will take place on Friday, 29th November at Shaftesbury Town Hall, with doors opening at 7:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit The Brave & Determined aka BadCo, a local charity dedicated to providing free, life-saving mental health counselling to individuals in need across England.
This highly anticipated community event promises to bring people together for a night of friendly competition, delicious food, and meaningful contributions. Participants can choose between classic fish and chips or veggie burger and chips, supplied by Mr Chips, a local fish & chips supplier. Teams can be formed with friends, family, or individuals.
“Our community is known for its compassion, and we’re excited to offer a night where people can come together, enjoy a fantastic quiz, and support a truly vital cause,” said Mayor Alexander Chase. “The Brave & Determined charity is doing incredible work to make mental health support accessible, and every ticket purchased helps us support their mission.”
In addition to a fun and varied quiz suitable for all knowledge levels, participants will have the chance to win a fantastic prize generously donated by Virginia Hayward. The event will also include a bar provided by BadCo, with proceeds from drink sales directly supporting The Brave & Determined charity.
The Brave & Determined charity focuses on delivering crucial, early intervention mental health support, helping reduce NHS waiting lists and providing timely, life-saving services to those who need it.
