Residents are invited to attend Shaftesbury Town Council’s Public Budget Meeting on Tuesday 16th December, from 6pm to 7pm at the Town Hall.
This meeting is an opportunity to learn how next year’s budget is being developed and to share your views while there is still time to influence the final decisions. Waiting until your council tax bill arrives in March is too late to join the conversation, as the budget will already have been agreed.
During the meeting, councillors will explain the proposed 2026–2027 budget, outline the budget-setting process, and discuss how these decisions shape the precept, the amount that Shaftesbury Town Council receives from each council tax bill to provide local services and projects for the community.
Your participation ensures that local priorities are heard before the budget is finalised. All residents are welcome, and refreshments will be provided.
