The new Town Clerk for Shaftesbury Town Council has been appointed and takes up the position with immediate effect.
Briony (known as Brie) Logan started her role as Business Manager/ Deputy Town Clerk for the council in October 2017 and stepped up to the interim Town Clerk role in January 2022.
Brie said: “I am thrilled and honoured to have been offered the position of Town Clerk at Shaftesbury Town Council. I am looking forward to supporting the council in delivering the many projects that are currently planned for the future. Working in partnership with the local community, I believe we can deliver outstanding services to the residents of Shaftesbury.
The Mayor, Andy Hollingshead, said: “There was a strong field of four candidates for the post of Town Clerk and after a rigorous process Brie was selected. The council is delighted that Brie has accepted the offer of Clerk and we look forward to working with her as she leads the development of new opportunities for the town.”
