All members of the Shaftesbury electorate are invited to the 2026 Town Assembly at Shaftesbury Town Hall.
The Annual Town Assembly is an important opportunity for everyone in the Shaftesbury electorate to hear about the work of the Town Council over the past year, learn about priorities for the year ahead, and ask questions about local matters that matter to them.
The evening begins at 6.30pm with an informal “Meet Your Councillors” session, giving residents the chance to chat with councillors before the main meeting begins.
The Town Assembly itself starts at 7pm, when the Mayor will provide an overview of the council’s work during 2025/26 and outline plans for 2026/27. Updates will also be shared by the Chairs of the Advisory Committees.
Residents will also hear how much has been raised so far for Shaftesbury Youth Club, along with news of the Mayor’s upcoming Wing Walk fundraising challenge.
There will be an open forum during the evening for residents to raise questions, concerns, and local issues. To help provide full answers where needed, questions requiring detailed responses should ideally be submitted in advance of the meeting.
This is a public meeting for residents and is open to all. It is not a formal council meeting, but a chance for the community to come together, hear updates, and take part in local discussion in person.
Join us on Tuesday 21st April from 6.30pm at Shaftesbury Town Hall. Please help spread the word to others in the community.
Refreshments will be served before the meeting.
We encourage all residents to attend, stay informed, and get involved in shaping the future of our town. We look forward to seeing you there.
